Call me crazy but I’ve always been a huge fan of Valentine’s Day even though I haven’t had someone to legitimately celebrate it with in almost four years. I believe if you’re in a relationship, you should celebrate that you love them every single day, but having that one day of the year where everyone in the world celebrates it together just seems so special to me. I’ve always been a hopeless romantic and I get all mushy when talking about love. I just LOVE love! Even though I do love Valentine’s Day, it can also be a huge damper. Ya know, if you’re single, it totally reminds you that you’re single. Even if you are single, there’s still so many ways you can celebrate this holiday and here are some of my favorites:

Host a girl’s night:
There is nothing better than a girl’s night in, whether it’s on Valentine’s Day or not. But for V-Day especially; wear comfy clothes, watch rom-coms, drink (a lot) of wine, order some take-out, eat lots of chocolate and if you’re feeling feisty, talk crap about your ex boyfriends. What could be better than that?

Pamper yourself:
Every girl needs a little pampering every once in a while. Take yourself out to a mani-pedi, massage, spa, get a facial, go shopping, eat some yummy food and go see a movie. If you’re not up to being alone, invite your closest single girlfriends to go with you. A day out with your friends is the perfect cure if you’ve suffered from a broken heart recently. If you’re not feeling up to going out, buy yourself the biggest box of chocolates you can find, stay home and binge watch rom-coms or Lifetime movies.

For the single mommy’s, take your little on a date:
I was thinking about doing this this year with B. It falls on a Tuesday this year, which means I have to work, but once I’m off I think I’m going to take him to Chick-Fil-A and a movie to celebrate. I’m in some dire need of some mommy-son time and this seems like the perfect opportunity!

Throw a party:
A Galentine’s Party! Invite all the single people you know, drink a lot, eat a lot and let the night take you away while you have some fun!

Okay, how stinking cute is he in all of these photos?! It hurts how much I love this boy! He saw the box of chocolates on the floor, brought them to me and opened them. I told him if he let me take pictures of him, that I would give him two pieces… & it worked! He also decided it would be a good idea to take his pants off in the middle of the shoot, so yeah.

Your little dude is so cute! I also planned on doing Chick-fil-a this Valentine’s Day, those heart-shaped chicken boxes are speaking to me. Hope you have a good date with your son!
